Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of The College Music Society.
Established in 1970, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter is proud to be the oldest regional chapter of The College Music Society. Our membership includes more than 850 individuals across the District of Columbia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Each spring, we host our annual Regional Conference, which features an engaging program of scholarly presentations and performances by musicians, researchers, and educators from across the country. Highlights of the conference include a keynote address, a chapter business meeting, and a luncheon. We actively encourage student participation and are pleased to present the Ruskin Cooper Award for Outstanding Student Paper.
The conference offers a meaningful opportunity for professional exchange, community building, and artistic collaboration. All chapter members are welcome to attend, whether or not they are presenting.
